From Artisan Tradition

MUNICH was born in 1939, in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), as a small family business of shoemakers led by grandfather Berneda. What began with passion and craftsmanship, soon consolidated as a benchmark in the manufacture of footwear in Spain.

During the 1950s, the brand takes a key turn: it specializes in technical sports footwear, becoming a pioneer in athletic and soccer shoes. In 1964, it adopts its current name, MUNICH, and the emblematic “X” on the side, the brand’s hallmark, appears for the first time.

The 1980s marked a milestone with the arrival of the GOAL model, designed for indoor soccer, which catapulted MUNICH as the undisputed market leader. Later, with the entry of the third generation of the Berneda family, the brand reinvented itself, merging its sporting heritage with the world of urban fashion, giving rise to signature streetwear.

Since then, MUNICH has continued to grow, combining design, innovation and tradition at every step. Today it has a diverse collection of footwear and accessories for adults and children, always keeping its original spirit: footwear made with soul, for authentic people.

Sr. Berneda empieza a fabricar calzado en un pequeño taller de Sant Boi de Llobregat.
Primera bota patentada con tacos de aluminio.
MUNICH registra el logo de la X.
Se inaugura el Nuevo headquarter en Capellades y la nueva fábrica en Vilanova d’Espoia.
Aparece el modelo emblemático: la GOAL, modelo que marca un inpás en la evolución de MUNICH.
MUNICH es líder en calzado deportivo y futsal en España.
Llega el modelo GRESCA. modelo que se convertirá en el favorito de los profesionales del futsal.
MUNICH hace su primera incursión en el mundo de la moda de la mano de Vialis.
MUNICH da el salto a la moda y al streetwear.
MUNICH abre su primera tienda. Casa MUNICH se convierte en la Flagship Store de la marca.
Con la llegada de la 3era generación de la familia BERNEDA crean el holding BERN2RUN.
Nace la división de accesorios de la X.
Expansión internacional Lanzamiento de la colección STB y de la colección de Pádel.
Lanzamiento de la colección de Hockey Hierba y modelo para jugadores de Balonmano en pista.
Primera colección de sudaderas y chándales sportwear.
